THE KILLERS ANNOUNCE UK TOUR!

The Killers today announce their first UK tour in four years. The Las Vegas group, whose hotly-anticipated fourth studio album, Battle Born, is released on September 17th, will play shows starting in Glasgow on 26th Oct and ending with two nights at London’s 02 Arena.

Tickets for the tour go on sale at 9am on Friday 7th September from www.gigsandtours.com / 0844 811 0051 (individual venue box office details are below). A limited number of pre-sale tickets will be made available ahead of this to members of the band’s fanclub, The Victims.

Runaways, the first single from Battle Born, is released ahead of the album, on September 9th. See the video for Runaways here:

Paloma Faith 2013 UK Tour

Paloma Faith has announced a series of UK tour dates for 2013, and a new single ’30 Minute Love Affair’ to be released on August 12. The song is taken from Paloma’s incredible second album ‘Fall To Grace’ which reached number 2 in the UK albums chart when it was released in May. The album was just beaten to the number 1 spot by Gary Barlow’s Diamond Jubilee record.

’30 Minute Love Affair’ is a sparkling, synth-pop love song in which Paloma recounts the true experience of a fleeting meeting with a busker in London’s Leicester Square when she was just fourteen: “I asked him if he’d be there the next day and he said he would. When I went back he was gone, and I’ve never forgotten it.”

The 2013 dates will be the first full tour of ‘Fall To Grace’, however Paloma is appearing at a series of live events over the summer, including two headline dates at London’s Somerset House on 17th and 18th July.

Scissor Sisters Announce October 2012 UK Tour

New York pop superstars, Scissor Sisters bring their renowned live show to the UK for a nationwide-tour for Autumn 2012.

Whetting appetites with highly acclaimed, sold out shows at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire last week, the band promise to bring their usual pomp and flair to the live dates.

The Guardian said of their recent London show that the group should be credited with influencing a string of chart-topping artists including Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj. A four star review from The Times called the show a ‘glorious mash-up of gig, polysexual revue and saucer-eyed rave’ – and if that doesn’t encourage you to come down to ‘have a kiki’, nothing will.

The band will release fourth album, ‘Magic Hour,’ on 28th May, which sees Scissor Sisters - Jake Shears, Babydaddy, Ana Matronic and Del Marquis – working with a diverse list of collaborators, from Calvin Harris, Pharrell Williams, Diplo to Azealia Banks.

Since bursting onto the scene in 2004, Scissor Sisters have sold over 4.5 million albums in the UK. The albums ‘Scissor Sisters’ and ‘Ta-Dah’ both hit #1 whilst ‘Night Work’ reached #2.

Rock & Metal Soccer Six

The creators of Celebrity Soccer Six will be hosting the rock and Metal version of Soccer Six on Friday May 11th 2012, a star packed football tournament for artists and industry in the rock and metal world to come network, have a laugh and share a beer. Including the likes of Bring Me The Horizon, You Me At Six, Architects, Exit Ten, Heights plus many more, all in anticipation to see who will be crowned rock and metal conquerers of Soccer Six!

The event will be held at Leyton Orient FC (Brisbane Road) and will be raising money for popular charity “Music For All”

The Kinks for Record Store Day 2012

Three vinyl reissues – ‘Arthur’, ‘Face To Face’ and ‘Something Else’ – released April 21^st on Universal

The Kinks jump on board for Record Store Day 2012 with three vinyl reissues; classic albums ‘Arthur’ (Or the Decline and Fall of the British Empire)’, ‘Face To Face’ and ‘Something Else’, released April 21^ston Universal.

Based around fictional character Arthur Morgan – a carpet-layer inspired by Ray Davies’ brother-in-law Arthur Anning – ‘Arthur’ is a canonical Kinks concept album from 1969. This 2-LP edition reissue comes on white coloured vinyl.

‘Face To Face’ was released in 1966 and represents the first full flowering of Ray Davies’ songwriting; narrative-rich, with wry social commentary. Consisting entirely of his compositions, it heralded the band’s move away from the hard-driving rock and roll style of 1964-65. This 2-LP edition reissue comes on blue coloured vinyl.

‘Something Else’ was the fifth studio album by The Kinks, released in 1967 and features three songs composed by Dave Davies, including the hit single ‘Death of a Clown’. This 2-LP edition reissue comes on red coloured vinyl.

All 2-LP editions, these three vinyl reissues come with deluxe packaging – with Mono and Stereo mixes – and booklets designed by award winning art director Phil Smee, packed with rare and unreleased images from the era.

Each reissue was re-mastered from original tapes by Kinks archivist Andrew Sandoval and is limited to 500 copies in the UK, all of which are individually numbered.

Sunday night headliner for Bestival has finally been announced and you never would have guessed, it’s none other than Stevie Wonder!

Rob da Bank says: “What can I say? What a day!
